Sellers Comments. Queen Elizabeth 11 Post Box This is a genuine ER11 Royal Mail "Post Office" Cast Iron Fronted Post Box. It measures 24" High, 10" Wide, 14" depth aprox, and the letter aperture is 8" Wide. The Post Box itself weighs around 19 kilos, and was produced in the 1980s. It has been re-painted in the correct Post Office red and comes complete with the Internal letter basket. It is also fitted with the correct Chubb lock, and comes with 2 keys plus a metal key tab with key number. The front black Collection Time Plate is a laminated copy of a period original and has the metal collection Time Tablets to go with it. The Collection Time Tablet holder is still fitted to the inside of the door. The makers name of "Abbot Engineering" is cast into the bottom of the door. There are 4 holes pre-drilled on the bottom should you wish to bolt it to a stand, or you can build it into a brick pillar or wall. The metal bottom of this Post Box has been replaced as it had previously rusted through, which is a known problem with this style of box. The door opens freely and overall it is in good condition.
